I find I have to run tX as root to get good audio quality (even with the
low latency patches in place), I get good audio quality with ogg files. If
I run it as a regular user i still get some crackles and pops.

I'm just testing out terminatorX as I need to get

sound files it plays have scratchy sound quality.
I have verified that it is not the device or oss emulation so I'm
wondering if libaudiofile has been known to have problems with certain
files? Or if this is a known problem in tX that has an easy fix?
I am using different files recorded on protools, edited via sweep using
libsndfile, ripped from cd. tX will read them and display them but
playback quality is shite. I haven't had this before in tX :(
TIA

Being on stage with the band in front of crowds shouting, "Get off! No!
We want normal music!", I think that was more like acting than anything
I've ever done.
