Hell no! Emacs is even worse than vi.
For about 15 years I used NEdit, but thay relies on Motif/Lesstif
which is really crappy. Recently I've been using Geany which I'm
far from hapy with.
I'm still using NEdit. It's the 'backlighting' I can't live without.
Spaces show up as brilliant white compared with the normal off-white
background, while true tab characters show up as some kind of grey
pollution, that they are!
