DM-24 digital mixing consol using amidi.
Tried; 'aplaymidi -p 72:1 -d 5
flash.mid' but it
produces "MIDI file Dump Error ! -> Code = f1"
This invocation looks
OK.
What does "Code f1" mean?
Not a clue. I went through the DM-24 manual
trying to
find that message and couldn't. Even if I had it might
not have been informative--based on the other
explanations.
I broke down and used a Macintosh with a MIDI
sequencer application titled Midigraphy. It worked
fine but what I don't get is what is different between
midigraphy and aplaymidi or muse.
midigraphy!! :-D
Midigraphy was one of the last pieces of software I ever paid for before
switching to Free Software. I think the shareware license was $25 or
$30. I used it to compose these silly little pieces:
http://zhevny.com/audio/MGGM/
using the cheasy GMish softsynth that came along with MacOS 8, mostly
painting the notes or playing the onscreen keyboard with a
(single-button) mouse. One of these days I have to try and resurrect my
old powermac and try to re-export those sequences to aiff so I can make
ogg vorbis encodings to replace the mp3s.
