Does USB audio work for *anyone* with 2 periods per
buffer?
I have the same as Frank Barknecht, a Terratec Aureon USB (not
V2), and @ 2 periods I get crackled sound when playing an ogg
file via xmms. At 3 periods I "only" get some xruns from time
to time, but gerneral sound is OK.
