To paraphrase ESR, creative minds are a valuable and
limited
resource, it's a sin to waste them reinventing the wheel.
I feel the same, but life is different. If ESR was the boss of a company
who owns all free software, he could decide to conduct several projects
into one. Fortunately free software doesn't belong to a company, so we
have to live with the waste of worthy time.
