Now, I just want to use the sound preferences dialog and make sure
the
system is using the 2496 as main output. Problem
is, although both
the 8810
and 2496 are present in the "Capture"
tab, only the 8810 is available
from
> the "Playback" tab. Is the 8810 an onboard card? If you don't need it,
it might be
preventing problems when you turn it off in your BIOS.
If you mean onboard as in a part of the motherboard, then nope, PCI, not a
bad card in its day ...
If you want to use the 2496 with Jack you have to set it in qjackctl,
setup.
I'll check my setup again...
