Right, well
I'd better make sure all my web pages speech render properly
having said that hadn't I? ;-)
Well, that didn't turn out to be quite as obvious as I would have liked.
Things I want to find right now:
Speech-rendering-HOWTO
Firefox speech rendering extension for Linux
piping the output of Lynx to flite wasn't too hot. ;-)
Continuing to answer my own mailings, thanks to Eric, Dave, Steve and Mario
for pointers both here and on IRC. I now have lots of reading to do and I'm
fairly confident that I will be able to produce at least conformance level
"A" web pages without too much trouble, which is my immediate concern. I
already know and use the Firefox Web Developer extensions, the validation
tools are most useful.
I look forward to the day this is all installed by default and enabled with a
single key-combo or something similarly trivial from a user perspective.
Anyone who can come up with a simple Firefox extension will earn my undying
gratitude (FWIW).
cheers,
tim hall
