libgig from linuxsampler project comes with two tools
called sf2dump and sf2text,
both of which spit out quite extensive information on soundfonts.
Thanks. I found sf2text last night ... yes, it dumps out A LOT of
info. I guess I can filter it since I really just want something like:
0 GrandPiano bank 0 ...
1 ...
etc.
And I'm sure that it's been done before :)
