You need some way to do that for people who are (1) not developers, (2)
don't want to be developers, (3) have no training or even the kind of
mind to become a developer, and (4) have to make the choice of whether
they would use their available time doing something they like and know
how to do (making music) or use their time struggling with a task beyond
their training and interests.
There is no reason that the awards couldn't include Linux Audio
producers as well as Developers.
One of the items on my (way-too-long) to do list is to
"Decide fin sppt
for Lnx & apps - Firefox, etc. Tax deductible?" (direct copy and paste).
Ideas?
If the Consortium became a registered non profit then it would be tax
deductable for US tax payers.
