This is not a one-off task so I was thinking of writing a python script to
create the project file based on the contents of a directory - but thought I
should check if this has already been done.
You can import multiple files using the "Import" option under the File
menu. There is an option to import as "one track per file". I use this
when importing tracks created and exported from other DAWs (since the
session files aren't compatible).
