SoundFont != just sample data. If anything is an architecture for wavetable
synthesis and a parameter storage format
Unfortunately, this would need lots of time and
resources, and
as 'we' are not enough users, it wouldn't be spread widely
enough.
It might be feasible to spec something compatible though. IMO it would
still be redundant.
