You didn't expect this new architecture to work as smoothly as i386
which has been around for 20 years, did you?
I guess you'll have to wait for the patch to support your machine.
Or, if you have no more than 3GB of RAM, run your amd64 in 32-bit
mode. That works fine and should run at least as fast.
