I don't know that jack won't work, it seems like its very close to working
on the quattro, but still has some fairly bad bugs that need to be worked
out. I need to learn C better so I can actually help in the bug
extermination effort.

Hi folks,
I've got a few questions about the USB Quattro and Jack. Hope you can
anwer s ome of them:
I'm writing this app and I managed to get my Quattro going with Jack,
but only two of the outputs are available as ports at a time (quattro1
or quattro2). Is there a way to invoke jackd so all four ins and outs
are available as Jack ports? I use the .asoundrc file Patrik Shirkey
wrote, but I understand too little of it to work it out :).
I am running it right now with the latest cvs and I can see all four
port i/o.
Now the question is whether or not we have full duplex or if it has been
broken recently as Brian suggests.
I will check now.
Another question:
How good/bad are the latencies other Quattro owners have experienced
with Jack at 96k? Is it good enough to attempt close to real time signal
processing in software?
It's highly unlikely that jack and usb will work well with low lat at
any sample rate.

Being on stage with the band in front of crowds shouting, "Get off! No!
We want normal music!", I think that was more like acting than anything
I've ever done.
