I'm running Mandrake Linux 9.2 with Gnome.
I suggest you add a urpmi source for Thac's RPMs. As root, type:
urpmi.addmedia thacs.rpms
http://rpm.nyvalls.se/9.2/RPMS with
hdlist.cz
Then type:
urpmi kernel-multimedia
urpmi qjackctl
If it complains about missing packages, you probably need to add a
'contrib' mirror to your sources:
http://urpmi.org/easyurpmi/index.php
You should then be able to run Jack as a normal user by running
qjackctl and checking the 'realtime' box in Setup.
All the details of Thac's RPMs are at:
http://rpm.nyvalls.se/sound9.2.html
Cheers
Daniel
