The patchbay of qjackctl can do that nicely, it even supports regexp when
ports carry the pid in their names. See the syntax when qjackctl suggests
connecting qsynt, for example. qjackctl is great! By running applications
with different jack-names I can easily manage a few setups, qjackctl will
not joke on many potential connections.
After some practice setting it up is very quick. The rule is: You only
connect the patch, the ports of the patch are then connected serially, if
available.
Slices of an audio buses need just separate patches.
