Hi,
Howdy peeps.
I've started a list for posting music made with
Linux.
Hey, sounds exactly like LAU.
Maybe I just have a skewed perception of what LAU is for. I always
saw LAU as a place for technical discussion, announcements, help and
other things related to the process of creating music with linux.
What I wanted was a place specifically for discussing the results -
something for the art side of things rather than the techical.
I understand that people quite often post work on LAU for feedback,
but I thought somewhere where the density of people willing to listen,
make comments, etc, would be a good idea.
I could be wrong. It's been known to happen ;)
The idea is to
have a place where we can solicit
feedback, find people
to collaborate with and generally build a community
based on what we
create rather than what we create with.
Unless some new decisions have been cast concerning
appropriate usage of LAU then I've got to be redundant
in saying, "Hey, sounds exactly like LAU."
ron
This hasn't been created because LAU or LAD
are
failing in any way,
but because I thought it would be nice to have
somewhere to show off
what you've done and get opinions.

The only rule at the moment is: don't post your
music as an
attachment. Link to it.
