i think that aqualung is able to play monkey audio if compiled with
monkey audio support.
Yes indeed. Let me add that using recent SVN versions,
you can also export the audio to another format (currently
WAV, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis and MP3 are supported), either
from the Playlist or the Music Store.

i have aqualung running here compiled with the monkey codec support, but
as an .ape file never crossed my way, i was not that sure.
