They can via the LD_PRELOAD hack using the libjackasyn from Guenter
Geiger (it works like a charm for me). Once installed, simply use your
apps with the following syntax:
jacklaunch <appname> <flags...etc>

Well... I do want some system sounds (at least a commandline player to
use from an instant messenger). And I want to use XMMS and Xine. Can
these be made to work with Jack?
I don't care for arts.
