it must be something else telling it so! could it be you have some other
jack application which is confusing qtractor with a fixed 4/4
time-signatures whenever it "feels like"? :)
check that out by turning jack transport and/or midi clock input options
off, in View/Options.../General/Transport mode and/or .../MIDI/MIDI
Clock resp. to "None". and try again.
That, Rui, worked like a charm! i thought such a thing might be the
case, but since i didn't make the machine, i just don't know where all
the buttons are. i let the loop run for at least ten minutes, and the
map remained intact.
good riddance :)
but would be interesting to know who or what is telling the wrong lines
to qtractor while playback's rolling...
any clue about some other jack-transport/timebase application that is
messing around clamping on 4/4 time-signatures ? maybe a jack-aware
metronome? or any other sequencer or DAW? eg. hydrogen, rosegarden,
musescore, muse, ardour,... whatever?
cheers
