this is an area where a little knowledge can be exceptionally dangerous to
your understanding. Combined with the mistaken drawing of waveforms as
stairsteps, it can be disastrous. try to forget whatever you think you
know, and just watch monty's video.

wiener's longer one. you will then be innoculated against most errors of
"intuition". your thinking/knowledge about this stuff is utterly incorrect
(no fault of yours - this isn't trivial stuff), and if you keep guessing
you'll keep guessing wrong.
