i do live electronic musik
so i use the input and process it and use the output maybe again as
input ...
At least not in the time-range they say. Or they are
coming from the other os
where low latency means something between 20ms 200ms (opposed to 2ms to 10ms
in the linux world).
@sh0099: If you are coming from win and asio reports a low latency of <10ms,
be aware that this is not round-trip latency that asio reports. Add
transport-buffers and adc/dac buffers and maybe even some os-specific delays
to that. And only trust the real round-trip measurements.
i don't know
i did not make a latency measurement myself. but i know that a latency
above 50ms would be ugly.
i used a fireface on a mac and i liked it ... but ...
rme writes that the fireface has (sometimes?) 1.5ms (64samples) higher
latency than the hdsp pci ...
