Hello Peter,
Ecasound hasn't been developed for ten to fifteen years, actively. The last
feature implemented by a third party was basic LV2 support.
Things have moved forward in this time. The code was well written, robust and,
I think, very clean. Even so, the ArchLinux package maintainer for Ecasound
said that they had a apply a few patches over time to compile properly and get
a working version.
In short: the code might need a fountain of youth, possibly adapting to more
current c++ standard and interfacing with APIs like JACK, sndfile and co. I
haven't tried to compile it myself in ages.
Would you be willing/able to help?
Best wishes,
Jeanette
