I suppose advanced players might play G melodic minor on the D7 and then G
dorian on Gm7 or some other sounds, but i'm not one of them..
I use what I call the Mark Lavine special on those chords:
Am7b5: C melodic minor
D7alt: Eb mm
Gm7: Gdorian (the mm clashes with Flo's voicings there)
