Very interesting. Are there any "unequal
temperaments" that you
particularly like? I feel, even after 48 years, that I have explored
very little of the harmonic and melodic territory offered by the 12
tones of the equal temperament tuning.
The one I like is the default one in Aeolus, Werckmeister III.
This can be used in all keys, but they sound different. Aeolus
also has Meantone (1/4) - try A-flat using that... and some
others inclufing equal temperament which I really dislike for
anything except Wagner :-)
