For those who don't... LilyPond (one of *the* best notation typesetting
systems) can be used with LaTeX since ages:
And ConTeXt, a superior but less-known tex distribution, can do it even without
lilypond-book and all those strange workarounds. Just load the lilypond module in ConTeXt
and write lilypond notation directly into you tex document.
