any sane kernel can do realtime; it's not dependent on kernel. realtime is
dependent on privileges.
what we refer to as an "rt kernel" is basically more (realtime) preemption
and higher timer frequency.
Yes. Your right. My bad. But that doesn't exclude the the fact that it is
something to have a look at if you're having problem not being able to start
jackd.
