Claws is an excellent example, you experience issues with claws, but
OTOH claws is an unpretentious MUA, it doesn't cause dependency issues.
You easily could compile it from git or install it from a distro's
repository, while at the same time you could installing a lot of
libraries from third party repositories. Evolution for example provides
little scope regarding dependencies, OTOH Evolution might have many
features Claws doesn't provide. It's more likely that Evolution shares
libraries with audio software, than Claws sharing libraries with audio
software.
