Wikis have their place.
IMO, you should do plain text, then mark it up.
The best thing after doing the text version to hand it over to an SGML
person, then it's trivial to generate other formats.
A problem with SGML is that it is not trivial for someone else to update
(or am I missing something). Wikis are better in that regard.
