True. And depending on the type of music and how it
was recorded
in the first place, the faders may be all you need on most tracks.
You also forgot electricity. Electricity plays an important role in
mixing and audio.
That the faders are the only thing you'd need, sure. As a hobbyist,
perhaps. Otherwise anyone else would do proper gain staging.
