I wrote/recorded a Christmas song, "Large -- Mary's Song."

I'll send you a direct link. I couldn't host it from my own

I like the composition a lot. A few comments (hope you don't mind):
I feel the drums should be (quite a lot) louder, the bass softer. The
vocals sounds a little insecure.

And yes, I agree with your comments. :-)
I think the problem with the vocals is my fault. When I
recorded her, the only pitch reference she had in her
headphones was acoustic guitar -- no bass. After I added in
all the other harmonic parts, the tuning issues showed up.
Lesson learned: the vocalist needs some bass to use as a
reference.

I sometimes create a special mix, to record vocals over. Clear drums,
clear harmonies and clear bass. Also I found that a good sounding track
is more inspiring for the singer and makes them sound better and more
confident.
