I'm looking for a nice, cheap sound card with a 24 bit ADC/DAC and a good MIDI connection. Does anyone have any that's treated them pretty well with alsa drivers? My current sound card seems to experience unknown MIDI problems and, also, I can't kill the "straight through" signal when using jack-rack, meaning I'm getting the processed and unprocessed signals.
