Hey all,
It was quite a while ago that I emailed the list with some questions
about the best way to package my voices for ZynAddSubFX for download
on my website, and I finally got around to actually doing it now. I
don't email often, but I certainly benefit from reading all the
interesting emails, so this is my way of giving back to the community.
Feel free to take the voices and do whatever you want with them, just
don't claim them as your own or sell them (unless of course you modify
them to your liking, then they are yours).
Go to http://www.airlynx.sitesled.com and scroll straight to the
bottom of the page and you'll see a text link that says ZynAddSubFX
voices.
Alternatively you can use the http://airlynx.co.cc shortcut

THANKS FOR SHARING!!! I've downloaded the package and I am testing out
your voices as I'm typing this. Wowee, the package contains some real
gems! Voices like the Bass Hit, Batman, Boink and Ping Chip are just
awesome, very usable too. Thanks again!

Yo, back on Thursday 25 March 2010 Chip VanDan was all like:

For some reason Yoshimi will only load "No Trash1" "plucker" and
"Dings". Complains that all the others are not valid XML.

Thanks for all your feedback, I appreciate it! I've never used
Yoshimi, I may go check it out now, and as far as the voices being
supported in Yoshimi, I'm sorry but I've no idea how to get them to
work in Yoshimi. If you have any idea please shout it out to the
group. As far as inclusion in distributions, I'm an idiot when it
comes to that stuff, so if you want to submit them for inclusion in
any distribution just make sure my name stays intact on them and all
will be good. I apologize for the slow response on these emails, I'm
stationed in Iraq right now and my internet went down for several
days, so I had to wait. (It happens quite frequently out here)

Would it be ok if I included your voices in the Yoshimi
distribution?

No apology necessary, speed is not an issue. I've included them in the
yoshimi 0.056 tarball, which also includes a potential fix for the problem
in reading compressed instrument files. I can load your files just fine,
so I hope that works for others too. By default, yoshi installs the
instrument banks in /usr/local/share/yoshimi/banks/, so yours should show
up as the 'chip' bank.
