I remember some time back there were complaints on

linux-rt kernel in Ubuntu Jaunty not being up-to-par for audio work.
What were some of those complaints, and has the issue been resolved?
Hi Josh,
Well, I've certainly had my fair share of issues with Jaunty:

Like Emiliano I've replaced the Jaunty-supplied rt kernel with a custom
one, I think it was recommended on one of the Ubuntu forums. And as you
can read in my article, that was only one of the problems I encountered
with Jaunty. However, I must also note that I've been using that system
more often, and I'm pretty happy with it these days (not too happy about
the GNOME desktop though, I still haven't replaced it).
I've not kept up with development of Jaunty or UStudio, sorry, so you'll
have to look in the forums and/or archives to see what's new kernel-wise.
Best,
