0.016 Alsa audio bug fixes, plus fixed an issue with potential to corrupt
~/.zynaddsubfxXML.cfg on saving settings. On start up, it now tries to
load settings from ~/.yoshimiXML.cfg. If it can't find that it tries
~/.zynaddsubfxXML.cfg. On exit it now writes settings to ~/.yoshimiXML.cfg

Hmmm. I wouldn't have noticed that. I can't remember the last time I
changed my Zyn preferences :)
Everything else seems fine. Worked up a bit of a sweat earlier doing
some quite fast live work with Metal Drips.

tried to run 'yoshimi -l/home/jeb/yoshimi-defaults.xmz', and it did a
segmentation fault. Same thing happened with the long form, [ ...]
Sad but true. It goes back to something I mentioned previously, a tentative
exploration of trimming back the char [] allocations. Putting it right isn't
going to happen quickly I'm afraid. I once worked with a Swedish integrator who
responded to my report of a sequence of steps that resulted in an unstoppable
storm of new windows cascading all over the workstation screen with "You must
never do that!!". For the time being, this is one of those.

Hi Cal,
I just stumbled upon that commandline load issue on my system, will have the new version a
try right now :)
yoshimi works fine here so far, I'm using jack2 and a dual proc system without rt
kernel. I had some yoshimi shutdowns when using oscillator sizes lower than 1024, that is
the only issue I noticed.
I have just a request concerning the ALSA MIDI client name which you made contain the
client number, and I think that this is not very practical since qjackctl's patchbay
recognizes the client names for its connections, and it won't do it if from one
session to the other the client name changes. So I would prefer just yoshimi as client
name, I don't know if others would agree on that.

Bit of a worry! I'm fuzzy on the desirability of lower oscillator sizes, can you clue
me up on that at all?

Thank you for this. I had a look at AlsaModularSynth which also likes to run in multiple
instances, and I think it does it the best way (there was a discussion recently). The
ports are named "ams_n MIDI" where n is the instance number. That way everyone
should be happy since the first instance will always come up with the same name and the
following ones are systematic, which is not the case for the ALSA client number....just a
thought...
Sorry, I cannot comment on the oscillator size in zyn, I thought it was the resolution of
the internal calculation so reducing it would also reduce cpu, but I'm not sure

I can't figure this out. I think the main suspect has to be the reinstatement
of my theory on what constitutes "a timely fashion" in audio master acquiring
a lock.
I'd be ever so grateful if one of the click afflicted could try the following
and see if it affects the click factor (eg, better/no diff/worse).
