For anyone, like me, who doesn't have a background in audio
engineering, this (I believe) Italian site seems pretty nice,

I ran across it when googling for some info. Lots of material that
some people here might find useful. For money, there's also a
download-able premium version.
If the site has already been mentioned here, well, ok.

I wouldn't recommend anyone paying for a 'school' using
that course. Or even not paying for it. Just 15 minutes
of cursory reading shows it is full of errors. And I do
no mean typos or the type of simplifications you could
expect in an introduction, but things that are plain
wrong.

of cursory reading shows it is full of errors. And I do

covers the sort of material that audiosonica fails at?

Totally, I think at least the idea of the site has great
possibilities, & hopefully, the accuracy of info will get better as
time goes on.
As for the license, I think some of your comments from other threads
on LAU have made me more aware of all the variant CC licenses, but
generally it's not something I go out of my way to look at in much
detail. Perhaps I should more often.
