This line is new to me (at least I don't recall it from before), and
I'm not sure how to set the "enable" and "index" arguments for
my
own system, which has both a Roland UA-30 USB Audio Interface and an
Oxygen 8.
I don't recall if "enable" is really necessary,
but i seem to remember that only the first soundcard is
enabled by default.
As for the index, it refers to the number of the card, as I think
you know; the question is, how do you set up 2 usb audio
devices if both might be plugged in at once?
I have no idea, I'm afraid.
Hmm, ok. That line seems to correspond, then, to this line in my
/etc/modules.conf:
options snd-usb-audio index=0,1 pid=0x0006,0x1015
I see that I have "snd-usb-audio" and you have "usb-audio". Is this
one
of the instances where the "snd-" prefix is no longer valid? That also
appears earlier in the file:
alias snd-card-0 snd-usb-audio
alias snd-card-1 snd-usb-audio
Do I need the "id" argument? And do I understand correctly from other
docs that this needs in my case to be "Keystation" as reflected in my
/proc/asound/cards file?:
0 [REC ]: USB-Audio - UA-30 (44100Hz, Analog REC)
Roland UA-30 (44100Hz, Analog REC)
1 [Keystation ]: USB-Audio - Keystation
M-Audio Keystation
