YEEEEEE-HAW Y'ALL!
next up is a buck owens song...I was looking for a reason to do
something with a new keyboard I picked up, hence this tune. the drums
are hydrogen; bass, guitar and piano are my roland keyboard; recorded
with ardour. I used some ladspa and lv2 plugins, but you shouldn't
hold this against the software :)

That was nice and bouncy - loved it. Especially the piano solo. And you
play a mean country guitar on your keyboard there!

Hello Josh!
thanks for postng and sharing. I have currently good reason to look into
country. A friend of mine seems to be moving towards Texas and he'll have a
gig there soon, where they'll do some country as well. Well sung, confident
and smooth. The basic arrangement is just fine, but I would have expected
something more 70s or 60s sounding, something not as smooth ans pollished. But
that was probably just your "YEEE-haw y'all!". :-)

Fantastic. Go Bakersfield! That piano solo is smokin.
Also, that guitar sound is surprisingly realistic. You play it like real fingerpicking on
a Tele, so it totally works, even down to the whammy bar. Just perhaps a bit cleaner than
one would expect from a real guitar.
How bout some George Jones next?

thanks! it took a few takes, though - those licks always sound
deceptively simple when you hear them on the radio...turns out most of
those things are executed with two hands. I learned this by watching
Lynyrd Skynyrd's piano player do some of his great honky-tonk solos -
bastard was doing them with two hands, and I have been trying to do
them with one!!! :)

I did a short stint in a country/blues band that had one guitarist, so
I would cover acoustic and pedal steel (!) parts...lots of fun.
