Not in this release. I wanted for a long time to create a common
preset/memory system for all the zita-* stuff, but that never
happened. See the small rectangle just below the zita logo ?
This is where the button opening the presets dialog will go...
The shelf
sections have a variable slope. When this is set above
2/3 of the range, the gain will first go in the opposite direction
before going up or down to the set gain. This was a feature of some
of the most famous analog equalisers.
Does this mean there will be a resonance
peak?
See <http://kokkinizita.linuxaudio.org/linuxaudio/shelf2filt.html>
There is a peak but in the opposite direction of the shelf. This
enhances the difference between the 'shelved' part and region just
before it.
I wonder which analog EQs used this
IIR correctly, the EQ in some of the big SSL consoles had this.
and if its users were aware of this feature at all....
Some probably were. But in those times, no sound engineer worth
his title needed a graphical display of the EQ response. We just
*listened* ...
