Hi,
this is probably a stupid question, but please, have some tolerance for

I'm sitting with qjackctl in the front of me and wonder after hitting
its "Connect" button: Why both Jack MIDI and Alsa MIDI? As far as I can
see, all my MIDI equipment are connected to ALSA MIDI and I do only
recall that I've seen one or two apps using Jack Midi. And if more apps
are using Jack MIDI, can it communicate with the ALSA MIDI connections?
Yes, there is a bridge from the JACK MIDI world to the ALSA MIDI world.
Actually there are two. One bridges from ALSA raw devices to JACK MIDI,
and another from ALSA sequencer to JACK MIDI. You have to pick one. All
apps can be interconnected. Even inside qjackctl.
