Ubuntu has configured things so that when I start jack

pulseaudio suspends. This isn't very useful to me because I have Jack
using a USB audio interface that pulse doesn't use, and because there
are times when I need to run non-jack audio apps while jack is running
(such as to view the pd for dummies tutorial I have just been watching
on youtube). How can I stop jack causing pulse to be disabled?
Look at the settings of qjackctl. Its "just" a line to start/stop
pulseaudio/arts/esd/etc. after/before usage of jack...
Have fun,
