hi list
i followed the instructions to get the card working (thanks josh)
but i'm still don't get any results. i've patched the kernel 2.6.5-mm4
with the two patches mentioned on the list. i can load the snd-usb-audio
module, dmesg means that it's registered (module) , but i don't get this
error-messages:
config 1 interface 1 has no altsetting 1
config 1 interface 2 has no altsetting 1
config 1 interface 4 has no altsetting 2
config 1 interface 5 has no altsetting 2
config 1 interface 7 has no altsetting 2
config 1 interface 8 has no altsetting 2
is there a way to see if the pc atleast realise that there is a card
conected?
any module which has to be loaded beside snd-usb-audio?
by the way i can't compile nvidia with this patched kernel, running nv
therefore,
anybody already solved this OT?
are this 2 special patches

allredady integrated in some standard kernel release and also the mm4?

First good news for a while with this device.
Clemens made a patch last week which I finally tested tonight. It
allowed me to record crystal clear cd quality and 24 bit audio.
Took us two years to figure out that the mAudio team had made it use big
endian format for input and little endian for output.
What a bunch of #@$X!!##
Here's the patch which I'm sure will be committed to cvs in the next few
days.

on which kernel-version should this patch be applied on?
it would be great if it would run with 2.6.4 standart, because
this kernel seems to be quite stable and works with my nvidia nicely.

It should be applied to latest alsa-cvs. If you are unsure about your
kernel compatibility I suggest manually patching the code by finding the
location of the changes in your version and typing them in by hand.

I'm not a coder but isn't big endian the opposite of little?
isn't that like Ibm epsidic mainframe vs vms?
It's like banging two rocks together to communicate...hehehe
I would LOVE a howto for the quattro..
If there is preliminart work being done on this let me know and I can
test run it..

Does it means that M-Audio audiophile USB works on linux ?
According to http://www.infres.enst.fr/~pook/configs/audiophile_usb.html
it seems that there is some problems with this soundcard and linux
tho...
Is there an audiophile USB user here ?
