FWIW, for me on a non-32bit system...
Requested video codec family [wmv9dmo] (vfm=dmo) not available.
Requested video codec family [wmvdmo] (vfm=dmo) not available.
Cannot find codec matching selected -vo and video format 0x33564D57.
I can hear them though.

It's propietary but works better than the others so when it's time to

How about theora?.
I'd rather have it ffv1 and flac compressed, neatly put in a matroska
container, but that would be too awesome, I guess.

The Liontracs Mediastation is a Linux machine. WMV is the abbreviation for
"Windows Media Video". I understand that some Mediastation users probably will
continue to use Windows as their main operating system for some time but why on
earth is Liontracs using (only!) that proprietary format for those videos ?
