does jackit 116.2 already have dbus compiled?
No. There is a modification of it but it is largely untested for ladish
purposes. It should be usable with laditools and without ladish.
See here for more info about JACK 0.116.2 + D-Bus:
http://linuxaudio.org/mailarchive/laa/2009/2/6/152373
when I start gladish I get:
[root@localhost ~]# gladish
Loading glade from /usr/local/share/ladish/gui.glade
dbus_call: calling method 'IsStarted' failed, error is 'The name
org.jackaudio.service was not provided by any .service files'
This means that jackdbus is not installed properly.
new studio request
StudioAppeared
Segmentation fault
This means that your
misconfigured system is not handled as it should be :]
When I try to save I get:
[root@localhost ~]# ladish_control ssave
--- studio save
DBus exception: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: Method "Save" with
signature "" on interface "org.ladish.Studio" doesn't exist.
This means that ladish is not installed properly.
This is what ladiconf says:
[root@localhost ~]# ladiconf
Traceback (most recent call last):
[snip]
dbus.exceptions.DBusException:
org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.jackaudio.service was not provided
by any .service files
This means that jackdbus is not installed properly.
When you install jackdbus or ladish at /usr/local, you will get a
warning. Please read it. That said, most people tend to like to install
both jack and ladish in /usr instead of tweaking their system in a way
that dbus services are usable in /usr/local. Also keep in mind that
installing jack(dbus or not) in both /usr and /usr/local is a receipe
for trouble.
