Hi,
Here's the layout:
Ardour beta 28
Latest Hydrogen
Mdk 10.1
Latest Jack and Qjackctl.
Was trying to Sync Ardour with Hydrogen thru Jack Transport. Everything
would sync fine but could not get sound thru Ardour or even into Ardour
it seemed from live inputs when transport was engaged and Ardour was set
to "Sync with Jack".
Did not have opportunity to try other apps with Ardour...never had this
happen before though. Jack transport has always pretty much worked. The
transport part works fine but seems odd to lose the inputs of whatever
instruments are live because of it?

Yes, this is a known issue.
A fix is in the works; please follow the ardour mailinglist and irc channel for a fix.

?, no, this is an ardour known issue. You cannot, now, monitor inputs
in ardour when using jack transport.

Hmm, I might have misread your problem. The problem which is known is
that you cannot monitor the inputs when using jack transport. You are
able to record the inputs, but you cannot listen to them through
ardour while recording (monitor).
If you are having a problem where you cannot record at all, then it's
another bug.

No, your correct in your first reading. I did not try any other type of
inputs except Hydrogen but I believe this is the issue as you have
outlined. Just caught me off guard because around beta 11.2 I did a
bunch of recordings syncing Muse and RG with Ardour via Jack_transport
and it was fine.
