Hi all.
What are people using to play FLAC files?
Seems like every player I've tried so far does not reliably play
them (Amarok, Songbird, etc).
Thanks!

I can't believe no one has mentioned gmpc. No one else here is
using mpd?
I'm using mpd with Sonata front end. I'm not very happy with it. The
searching functionality is annoying as i mostly want to find albums. I
also use the iphone fronend which gpod which is great. Anyone using a
client with a good library interface? I add songs with Sonata and the
library search organises them alphabetically which is annoying as
hell.

I tried Sonata as well, the search also was annoying for me, but for
another reason. It uses a rather short timeout after you stop typing to
start searching. If you don't type like hell it just starts to search,
and with a lot of songs this search takes some time and makes the whole
thing unresponsive.
it's written in python luckily, so even I managed to at least increase
the timeout and just restart it. Hacking other functionality should be
relatively simple as well.
