Hello,
Could people suggest to me their favourite filters
for noise from
broadcast recordings?
The sounds I wish to remove are electronic noise and
warble from long (2
hour) files.
That's a pretty good sized file. For smaller files
I've used the Rezound Arbitrary Fir Filter (AFF) and
jaaa. With jaaa you can visually identify frequencies
where the noise exists and then use the AFF to draw a
cut in that range, and then experiment with how far
you can cut before the filter damage is greater than
you can live with.
If the audio has breaks where air conditioning units
are feeding mics, jaaa will definitely show that
noise. In this situation it's easy because the noise
might be isolated where nobody is talking.
Good luck,
ron
Thank you.
Tim
