Hi,
I just recorded two song ideas using ardour3. They are just three tracks
each and consist of only first takes ;D So bear that in mind:
A tune that's a little bit older, but I only got to recording it just now:

This one was inspired by a lazy sunday afternoon after my return from a
two weeks vacation in Istanbul, so it has a bit of Huesuen in it:

Hello florian!
I like Phosphorus and I can see loads of directions this could take. It
would be great, if you went back to it at some point.
I'm not so fond of Violao Arvensis, but that's just personal taste. I can
still see, how this might sound with some more arrangement. I think it's the
bass, that is putting me off. So straight, it makes it sound clumsy, which it
really isn't.
Well, these are just my tuppence. It's good work and I'd really like to meet
with it again, after some more elaboration.

Yeah, these recordings are basically "scratch pads" so I can go back to
them at some point with e.g. a more complete band (with a bass player
that doesn't suck and maybe a percussionist plus keys instead of second
guitar)..

Yeah, I'm not too happy with the bass in violao arvensis either. It's a
bit muddy and directionless, i must admit :D

I have to insert my customary "it's not my preferred style" here, but
besides that, there's some good guitar playing in those songs. And they are
first takes? You've put me to shame in so many ways that it's not even funny
;-)
Like Julien, I prefer "Phosphorus". But both songs are very nice anyway.

I enjoyed these a lot, especially phosphorus. Simple, clean productions can
often be better than more complex ones. Thanks for sharing.
