->Psychoacoustics is just a bit too frightening for me
I'm afraid. Although I would urge everybody to read
Yost's book and if they like this stuff try Moore's
psychoacoustics book. Prepare to be amazed though!<-
And if you really want the skinny, try something like "Signals, Sound
and Sensation" by William Hartmann... it's mostly about signal and
signal processing, not as much about psychoacoustics per se. But it's
a-pretty-pretty good.
