PS: I didn't need Google, but opened Mudita + alsamixer and compared the
values.
You need to set
"Item: Multi Track Internal Clock [IEC958 Input]"
for alsamixer.

Thanks for the hint. There it gets a little complicated and I was never
quite sure, what all these do and dont. I'll give it a go. Ha! It works!
