Hey Louigi! I just finished listening to the album, very well done!
Congrats on your achievement! As a former earlier trance/goa-listener, it
was really nostalgic to hear pieces of that sort again.Was that synth
"nekobee" mostly?
I especially like the song, can't remember the name (no screen on my
mp3-player) but with the kind of hiphoppy drums, with the hiphoppy hits
too.
Great work! I'm gonna listen again in FLAC on my monitors later too! ;)

You can use it outside Ardour, but that is the reality of Linux Audio,
isn't it.
Maybe it is time to port Nekobee to LV2.

I should do a video about nekobee, but there is one parameter there which
obviously needs fixing, since it doesn't do anything, but it should and in
other TB-303 emulators I've used it.

I used HarmonySEQ for quick automation. It is a powerful tool.
As for session managers, no, I did not. I did make a simple script to start
a session with everything I need, but
I am yet to try NSM. I did use Ladish in the past, right now I am not using
it, although I probably should set a
session manager up.
But in the case of this album lack of session management was not such a big
issue due to the nature of the music.
If you notice, it rarely has complex leads and melody lines, it is
basically all broken down into small music phrases.
That allowed me to stop working on a tune at any time and resume work later.

Lougi, great intro and great music; what else can you ask for.
The intro video is very good to give a glimpse of these tools that
people even know about, and the mix and final result I think it is a
quality one that give them the sentence in mind: "the musicianship is
not in the tools".

As for session managers, no, I did not. I did make a simple script to
start a session with everything I need, but
I am yet to try NSM. I did use Ladish in the past, right now I am not
using it, although I probably should set a
session manager up.
But in the case of this album lack of session management was not such a
big issue due to the nature of the music.
If you notice, it rarely has complex leads and melody lines, it is
basically all broken down into small music phrases.
That allowed me to stop working on a tune at any time and resume work
later.
Respect for the way you've found your way on linuxaudio and how fast you've
become an expert yourself!

Many people ask for that and I will try. My problem is a bug in
RecordMyDesktop which crashes if you try to record audio with JACK, at
least on Ubuntu. The bug has been around for 2 years at the very least, so
I pretty much gave up on that. I will re-check and if not, go for a
workaround, although that might mean manual synchronization.

If you're interested, I've recorded in Musix v2 with RecordMyDesktop
without a problem. Although now you that mention, I can't remember if
it was with/out Jack.

Quick question - is this at all possible to use in a non-KX Studio
environment? Because I am on Xubuntu just using KX Studio PPA.

Only just got round to listening.
This is fantastically good! Congrats!
It seems to me this might have been easier (session management wise) using
Neil, but kudos to you for putting this all together in the bitty linux way
we have come to love (and curse!)
